Our 2nd A Match was held on Saturday, February 9th at Cactus Park in Scottsdale
What a perfect day! The 41 show entries and 70+ people in attendance enjoyed perfect weather -- a sunny 75 degree day! Judge Jackie Dew graciously judged the Club's "A" match, and a BBQ Beef lunch was provided to all.

Best in Match was won by Whitneyvilles Tiny Tot, who was shown by first-time exhibitor Wendy Buitenhuis! What a way to begin to show!  Best Opposite Sex was won by Spice Rack's Habanero Cave Creek, shown by Ken Smith.  Best Junior Handler was won by Skyler Neely.  Best Puppy was earned by Bentley-Priory's Rockin Ivy Rose, shown by Jan Donnell.  Best Bred by Exhibitor Dog was won by Dulaney Atta Boy Harry, shown by Nikki Postero.

We appreciate the tremendous outpouring of support for this "A" match! Congratulations to all the Winners (and class winners)!
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our Judge, Jackie Dew, and to those individuals and companies who provided donations to help make our match extra special:

AUGUST 2, 2008 - "RING STEWARDING" AKC Judge Bob Robinson treated our club to a  great presentation on the nuts and bolts of Ring Stewarding.  Thanks, Bob!

What is a "Ring Steward," you might ask? A Ring Steward is someone who helps the judge in the show ring. They can't show their dog at the show. They generally assist the judge, keep track of ribbons, call the exhibitors into the ring at the appropriate time, etc. They are an important part of the event -- the show won't go on without them!
